Malaysia (JAKIM)
Are Khandani Foods products halal certified for Malaysia? Khandani Foods' current product range is 100% plant-based (rice, snacks, spices, oils, seeds). Under Malaysia's Trade Descriptions (Definition of Halal) Order 2011 and MS 1500:2019, halal certification is mandatory only for animal-derived products. For plant-based goods, it is not legally required but is highly advisable for retail market access given Malaysia's Muslim-majority consumer base.

Halal Certification (JAKIM)

MAQIS Agricultural Permits
Import of agricultural-origin goods — which covers rice, spices, and seeds (all of Khandani Foods' core catalog) — requires MAQIS permits, separate from halal certification. A phytosanitary certificate from the exporting country's Ministry of Agriculture is required.
