Khandani Foods' current product range — rice, snacks, spices, oils, and seeds — is 100% plant-based and registered for import through the SFDA Ghad Portal (Food Registration System). Halal certification is not legally mandatory for plant-based food products under Saudi regulations, but Khandani Foods maintains halal-compliant processing practices for additional buyer assurance.

Labeling Requirements (GSO 9:2022)
- Labels must be in Arabic (English may accompany but must match exactly)
- Mandatory: product name, packer's name, country of origin, ingredient list (descending by weight), usage instructions, shelf life
- Country-of-origin labeling (COOL) is mandatory
- Stickers (if used instead of printed Arabic) must be irremovable and manufacturer-applied
Halal Certification Status
Halal certification is mandatory for meat/animal-derived items only. For plant-based products like Khandani Foods' current catalog, halal certification is not legally mandatory but strongly recommended for market trust and to support any "Halal" claim made on packaging.
Import Registration
All food imports must be registered through the SFDA Ghad Portal before any shipment. A GCC-wide GSO label approval is generally accepted across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman — but each country still requires separate product registration.
