United Arab Emirates (ESMA / Dubai FIRS)
Can Khandani Foods products be imported into the UAE? Yes. Khandani Foods products are registered through the Dubai Municipality Food Import and Re-export System (FIRS). All packaging meets mandatory bilingual Arabic + English labeling requirements. For plant-based food products, halal certification is not legally required, but any halal logo on packaging must be backed by an ESMA-accredited certification body.

Labeling Requirements
- Bilingual Arabic + English labeling is mandatory
- Required fields: product name, ingredient list, allergens, nutrition per 100g/serving, country of origin, production/expiry dates, storage instructions, net weight
- Date format: DD/MM/YYYY for shelf life ≤ 3 months; DD/MM/YYYY or MM/YYYY for longer shelf life
Halal Certification
Halal logo use requires certification from an ESMA-accredited or ESMA-recognized certification body (JAKIM Malaysia and IFANCA USA are explicitly recognized). A halal claim without proper certification is a labeling violation under UAE law.
GCC Cross-Market Note
GCC-wide GSO label approval (used for Saudi) is generally accepted across UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman — a single well-built GCC label can serve multiple markets, but each country still requires separate product registration.
